I do not/cannot take the pill .It is not suitable because of my age.
I have been given Norethisterone tablets to start taking three days before my period is due, which will delay it until i stop taking the tablets.
However as i am suffering particularly bad PMT this month i am not relishing feeling ill through the whole two week holiday.

No, there are no medications that can bring your period on earlier. The only thing that can be done is to take medicine (the birth control pill) to delay a period for about a week or two which some women do when they want to go on vacation.

I would recommend getting in touch with your dr to see what they recommend.

I have never heard of anything that can bring forward a menstrual cycle - that would be really messing your body clock up good and proper - the only solution is to carry on your pill (if you take it) dont take a break, thus meaning that you wont get your period on holiday. Alternative bite the bullet and takes lots of painkillers like Feminax and some lavender to help you relax or even better start taking some evening pimrose oil now and up to and including your holiday - this should help reduce the pmt!
Good luck and have a fab holiday.

There is nothing a doctor can give you to bring forward a period else believe me most women would ask esp in the throws of pmt. Agnus castus will regulate your periods I took it and instead of a 35 day cycle it made it 28 but thats all you can do

Using the pill may be your answer, but there is another tablet called Ponstan Forte. I remember taking this a few years back when I had a period that just went on and on. It may be worth mentioning it to your GP. Hope this helps

Its an unusual request and I am not aware that anything will do this. Norithisterone is indeed the only other drug used to delay holiday periods.

if you go on the contraceptive pill, you can join two packs together on your holiday, so you would be covered for 42 days, its perfectly safe, so you could ensure you wouldnt be on your period whilst you were on holiday! just go to your doctors.
