Another galaxy, or a completely different universe with great intelligence, like humans. Who knows if there is though.....

If a proportion of UFOs are spacecraft (and it is a big IF) then they must either come from Earth or somewhere else in the universe. If the latter then they must come from a civilisation that has somehow developed the technology to travel faster than the speed of light, in which case they could have come from almost anywhere. However, unless they've been visiting for a very long time I'd guess that they'd only want to come here once they had detected our presence here which would limit their source to somewhere within the light-year volume corresponding to our first significant radio transmissions.

*IF* UFOs are spacecraft then they must come from space :) Since we have no definitive proof they are spacecraft then I'd certainly say no one knows for sure where they come from.

However, I think we're actually still focusing on the first part of the question: what are UFOs.

So lets not jump the gun and start theorising about one possible hypothesis for their origin when nothing has been definitely concluded yet!

I think the 'unidentified' part of UFO sums up the situation pretty well :)

Mysterious. Obviously came from an unknown place. Those on board, obviously do not want to make themselves known to the Earth, for they have the Earth guessing from whence the came. Obviously landing on the Earth for free, since the Earth have not come to the conclusion that they even exists.I once heard / read this : Strange and mysterious marks on the ground in a particular area, is very conclusive evidence of an un-usual space-craft landing. Also, can computers aid alien space craft in danger, i.e, computers that are turned on at the time ?

You seem to be basing your enquiry upon an unjustifiable assumption. It does not follow that because an object is unidentified that it is likely to be a spacecraft! You say that, "they must come from somewhere". Indeed! and the most likely places are from mother earth (or from a fevered imagination). All kinds of explanations are more realistic than spacecraft!

UFO's don't exist. We have never been visited by extraterrestrials....YET! They wouldn't come all this way to not land or stay in orbit and not say hello. Don't give me all that rubbish about they don't want to be seen. A vast amount of energy would have been spent to get here. It would be impossible for one government to keep something like extraterrestrial contact a secret. WHEN they do get here however, or their remote robotic probes, just like we send to other planets, they will announce themselves bigtime. I just hope it's to some third world country....just to steal the developed nations thunder. After all they are not duty bound to go to any G8 country!

On the other planets, within our planetary system, 'they' will observe our space probes as UFOs.

Some of our probes have left our solar system but will take light years to reach even our nearest star (other than the sun).

No human could exist that long and it is safe to assume other forms of life attempting to travel, in a spacecraft, through space to reach our solar system would face the same insurmountable problem.

An Unidentified Flying Object is something that, like religion, requires a leap of faith. You believe it if you want to believe it.

From the Bible, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen".

not all ufos are spacecrafts.

UFO means Unidentified Flying Object, so if it was identified as a spacecraft, then it wouldn't be called a UFO!

They are actually from earth, they live under the Oceans, Many USO's (unidentified Submerged Objects) have been witnessed by ships at sea, they travel hundreds of Miles per hour under water and can fly also. They are possibly from the lost civilization of Atlantis, who have harnessed the power of the bean.
