The victim must contact the police and file charges against the three alleged perpetrators. If there is reasonable cause shown, they will go on trial. If found guilty their sentence depends upon their prior records, the degree of the crime they are found guilty of and the skill of their attorney. They can also be sued in civil court for the attack. If they have been found guilty that can be used against them in the civil case. If they were found not guilty, they can still be found liable in the civil case. That's what happened to OJ Simpson, he was found innocent in the criminal case, but was ordered to pay damages in the civil trial.

Getting attacked by three people is likely to be aggravated assault in many states (assuming this is in the US.) That is a felony - ie the max sentence is over 1 year in jail. Anyone who is attacked by three people like this must report it to the police.

Well I'm not sure where ur from but here in Australia that would be assault & battery or agrevated assault.
The victim could also potentially sue the people who asaulted him for medical expenses & mental / emotional trauma.
Of course all this is assuming the people who assaulted him are caught or he knows who they are.

yes its assault, report them to the police, open a case against them and yes they may be fined, sentenced to community service or better still even locked up, who needs trash like that walking around. good luck
