I have found that over time I have become accustomed to listening to movies and doing other things while watching a movie rather than just sitting down and watching it attentively. Anyone do the same thing.

I especially do this if I am at my computer.

(I am actually listening to a movie now on my computer while working on a painting in photoshop, its not even visible at all.)

OMG!...we are sooo on the same page. I toggle with guilt, because I have NETFLIX, and I go out of my way to rent movies, that I end up hearing, rather than watching. I have a computer table that sits in front of me on the couch which makes it waaay to easy...

I do this ALL the time, I rarely ever watch a movie or TV all the way thru or without doing other things at the same time.....I honestly think I might have a slight case of ADD though, I dont concentrate on really anything too well or shoudl I say for long periods of time

oddly i do the complete opposite. yes at times i listen while i do other things. but more often i like to get in bed at the end of the night. put on a movie. turn the volume all the way down and read the subtitles until i drift off. its actually very relaxing.

Sometimes I listen to the x-files because I am more interested in what Mulder has to say than what is actually going on in the screen.

It's back ground noise. Hubby plays the TV all the time while doing other things. I turn on the stereo.

the sound tracks of dialogue intensive movies are interesting to listen to, without the picture! (sometimes when the pic. fails and only sound works, one is forced to listen, too!)

Sometimes I do it on purpose to find out if the actors can really act or are they relying on visuals for the most part.
