Nope! England doesn't even rule England anymore

Now come on Peter, this is a daft question isn't it? A provocative thing to say especially judging by some of the answers already listed. We never ruled the World only some of it as did the Romans etc. We aren't the bad boys of the world either even though warped historical inaccuracies are still being taught about us by some countries. No one country should have the right to rule another, this said, there does need to be a 'policeman' of the world but I don't think it would be us.

Ha ha. England can't even rule itself, how can it rule the world. We had a Swedish guy coaching our national football team, if that doesn't say something about national incompetence what does? The days of England being a great country disappeared a long time ago if they ever existed at all. Nationalism is bollocks. God bless our German Queen.

Not with that sort of grammer it doesn't.
Maybe ruled the world would be closer to the truth.
Imagine a world where King George had not decided to raise unfair taxes, the stroppy colonists would not have had a war of independance, and the USA would be part of the commonwealth.

HA ha ha ha ha ha! Love a sense of humour this early in the morning - at what - don't get me wrong - I'm born and bred in England but what are we great at anymore - Football - Nah! Cricket - Nah! Oh! Bog snorkling - got a World Champion in that I believe - sorry, it has become a second rate nation lost in time - heading towards third world status

England is ruled BY the World (elite)

The secret ruling elite of England are part of the the New World Order and control Brirtin as much as they control the US.

.
Britain is one of its main bases of operation though from which they're organizing their global fascist takeover.so England will be one of the first countries to be destroyed by it.

As an Irish person, I have to contradict you there, I'm sorry. No, England does NOT rule the world, English people think they do. Just like the Americans. (The Americans are worse in this regard, not all of them, mind you!)The simple fact of the matter is that no one country rules the world. This is the age of emergent Globalisation.
