Queen & David Bowie both sang it together on the record. Freddie Mercury the prime songwriter with colloboration from Bowie and other band members. It was released in 1981. Lots of people think they released it seperately, but it wasn't that way at all.

Queen & David Bowie did the original which was then later sampled by Vanilla ICE for Ice ice baby.
Queen tottally sued Rob Van Winkle and the band, which skint them out.
