can you please call kobe bryant by his proper name, instead of some stupid nickname of 'baby kryant'. how immature and stupid is that? and stop bringing up the court case that he was involved in. im so sick of people hating on him because of what he did in the PAST. SO many people around the world do the same thing, and you wouldnt say a THING to them. and kobe is any different? im sick of hearing racial comments and how hes a rapist. then i guess that makes the thousands of other people around the world rapists too right? stop being immature. what he does OUTSIDE of the courts, doesnt reflect the way he plays ON the court. so dont bring up stupid court cases when a question is based strictly on a skill basis. whoever doesnt think he is a great player, obviously does not either, a) watch laker games. b) knows little about basketball, c) in denial that he is a great player. d) just a hater.
Afterall, he IS human, and you probably make the same mistakes too. stop with the hate

im not saying that in every case its a rape. Say the girl DID get raped, why would she drop the case? The girl had multiple semen stains from OTHER MEN on her clothes. Doesnt that tell you something? and kobe has no character...depends on what u define character as. kobe contributes to his youth foundation by helping his community as well as children across the world. if thats not something to look up to, then i dont know what is.

and to (f)akers. kobe never blamed anyone. he never went live, and pointed fingers at anybody. put yourself into his perspective, he is the greatest player in this era, and his talent is going to waste. the GM is pretty slow at catching things, and has to realize that he has to get players in NOW if they want to win. kobe wont be young forever.

Face it, he is not the best team player, even though he doesn't have much to work with. But then again last year they did have a 3-1 series lead on Phoenix with the team he has now and they couldn't win. Kobe is by far the best one-on-one individual talent in the league. He can't be guarded unless you double him and that makes him dangerous. Give him Kevin Garnett or someone of that caliber and he's easily in the running for MVP. But he does have character issues and that shouldn't be used against him unless it affects his team on the court. He brings it every night and gives you something to talk about the next day. He's not perfect but let's not criticize his faults off the courts. The mistakes that he makes forces us to realize that he is human. We are just critics and we are quick to judge him when he says the wrong things or plays the wrong way. He's just learning that you need a big man in the middle no matter what. And hopefully if he gets some help, he won't run this person out of town like he did with Shaq. I'm not saying that he purposely ran Shaq off but he didn't step up and try to keep him either.

What up Lakers and Raiders the entire means, I will continually have a satisfactory admire for Kobe's basketball advantage and the way rough the person works at his recreation. But because the ancient announcing is going in the event you are not with us, then you are in opposition to us. So Kobe being traded to a further crew would garner a few curiosity in that different crew-- primarily relying on which crew it's. But i used to be a Laker fan lengthy earlier than Kobe was once a Laker. And might be one lengthy after he retires (as a Laker or any individual else). Lakers for lifestyles!!! Personally i would care much less what number of aspects Kobe ratings- so long as the Lakers win jewelry! But i have got to admit that each and every yr he pulls off a few effective stuff and the man is only one heck of a ball participant... Go Lakers in '09. Nickster

Are you a Kobe fan or a Lakers fan? If you're a Lakers fan, I can't understand why you still support him after what he's done to your team. When was the last time they made it to the finals? In fact, when was the last time they made it to Round 2? Maybe Kobe doesn't have the greatest support around him but has it occurred to you that the rest of your team may be demoralized by his selfish antics on and off the court? How motivated would you be if you knew you had to share the court with him?
And in regard to the rape case, did you read his 'apology' letter? Because if you did, you know it sounded an awful lot like a confession.
BTW, I don't hate Kobe Bryant. I wouldn't spend that much energy on him.

Are you serious? You think a person in a high profile sport such as the NBA playing on one of the highest profile teams in that NBA living amongst one of the highest (if not the highest) profiled states / Cities in America should NOT be judged on his (or her) life experiences?! You need to give your head a shake and seek counselling.

Kobe Bryant was first and foremost made into who he is because of this sport he so often trashes and disgraces. Do you really think Kobe would be ALL THAT if he had a normal career or job somewhere? Do you see anything in his persona that suggests he is a tolerant man, or humble, or even slightly modest? I don’t think so sunshine.

He shafts his peers and mentors at every chance. He regularly embarrasses the league at such a constant rate it is referred to as “and yet again Kobe”. His coaches whom were the ones teaching his know it all butt get back-stabbed at a rate that makes jack the ripper look like an baby sitter. Most important out of all Kobe thinks he is above the very game that created him. My time and money invested in watching him and other NBA players pays his sorry self a wage.

IF not for basketball and fans Kobe could be the greatest ever player in the world by miles and no one would care nor notice but this still does not make him stop and realise he has an extra responsibility to respect the game that brought him out of his slum world. He doesn’t care enough of what the league has given him and fans have contributed to his life to try to be a decent citizen that does not abuse the legal system with his fame. Kobe’s skills are the very least of anyone’s hate when their judgment towards him are made.

He doesn’t deserve any recognition aside from the negative stuff he gets and that alone should show you, a self proclaimed NBA expert, just how indecent of a human being he is, that even with his “mad skills” and his “crazy” play most people seem to dislike they guy…. Nothing to do with hating son. Everything to do with calling it as we see it. Selfish, egotistical, disrespectable, hot headed chump who is too stupid to realise his amazing skills and entertainment ability are more important than his petty need to be recognised and adored.

I'm not disagreeing he is not very skilled cause he is. But I agree with CK above that players these days have a responsability to the game that seems to be ignored. I'd love to be in Kobe's shoes and if I had to walk a tight line to do it who cares.

Kobe is great but I think if he was a more decent person outside the game he would get the props for sure and he'd be even a bigger star than he is.

I've never heard anyone use Baby Kryant either, but that's a good one! To make a comment on "and you probably make the same mistakes too"....No, I've never raped anyone. I could care less if he's the best basketball player ever lived. I believe he got away with rape. He cheated on his wife/girlfriend....whatever she was. To me, the man has no character. Kids look up to him and for those reasons I listed, he should not looked up to. That's why I cannot stand the man. And actually, the Lakers are my favorite basketball team, but I still can't stand him and he has no character.

As SHAQ put is Kobe who? Never heard of him.
You can forgive mistakes but not patterns of them,
the girl in colorado i can forgive, Malone? I can't,
Shaq? I can't, Smush? I can't, Kubchak? I can't,
Jerry Buss lied to him? I can't.
A great player makes his team better, he does not
blame his teammates, GM, coach, and Owner.
At what point do you say if he has problems with
everyone around him, then maybe he has a problem
himself? Genie Buss after his latest radio talk show
calls, refused to get on the radio and said she is
" too hurt and disappointed to make any comments:"
if every one is the problem around Kobe, i think he
should move, maybe the lakers will get better after
he leaves. I can only hope.

I actually call him KoME Bryant.

I think it makes the people feel they are cool and boosts their ego when they are trashing Bryant. As far as him having no humilty I'm not sure how someone dissing him is being humble either.

never heard any racial comments about Kobe, but plenty of people love to turn everything into a racial debate. how about this nickname BloMe Bryant?! Thats a good one! Kobe is great yes, but a cancer to any team he plays on until he realizes he is not MJ!!!!
