to find x-intercept ,y=0
3x+5y=15
3x+5(0)=15
3x=15
x=15/3
x=5#
to find y-intercept,x=0
3x+5y=15
3(0)+5y=15
5y=15
y=15/5
y=3#

3*0 + 5*y = 15
5*y = 15
5*y/5 = 15/5
y = 3

The x-intercept is always found by putting y=0...do this and you get x=3.
The y-intercept is always found by putting x=0...do this and you get y=5.
