Because the South has the best climate, the most beautiful land, and the most beautiful skies. Besides, our culture is much more steeped in tradition and authenticity. Damn, I love the South!

I am from Arkansas, and let me tell you the Damn Yankees are all over the place. We moved from a very nice mountain top where we had been all along for 20 years, when we left I could count 6 Yankee homes all around our property line....damn yanks!
They dont understand any of our customs or even bother with good manners.
Here is some advice for the yanks that want to come to the south.........
1. Dont come here and expect to understand what we say.....we like it that way.
2. When you go in a local southern store, you are expected to chit chat and say "have a good un" when you leave. You yanks are always in such a hurry.....slow down for gods sake.
3. Us southerners pull to the side of the road and take our hats off when a funeral procession comes within site....it is the respectful thing to do.
4. If you build in the country dont call the cops if you hear a large caliber rifle being fired, its just the neighbors saying hello to the new yank in town
5. Southerners prefer wide & long houses, if you build a skinny and tall house that looks like it should be sitting on a city block then you will easily be spotted as a yank.
6. This is the most important!!! Dont stir the locals!!! If you act like a city ***, then I can assure you that you will be ran back into the city shortly where you can suck up all the smog you want.

The South is hot and muggy. In some parts, the accent is as thick as the air. Seriously, I can't understand it at times.

I don't envy the South. It is full of a bunch of illiterate rednecks!
I think they have some beautiful women, and the weather is nicer in places, but it is still the Grapes of Wrath, and I was born in North Carolina!
