Why is everyone speaking English? Where are the Filipino languages?

Kumustaka .. you are in the Philippines section for sure. I come in through yahoo Philippines and select Philippines only at the left of the answers page. There are many Filipinos around the world who (I guess) log in and whose Tagalog language and typing is not that good, especially (perhaps)those born overseas. However, I agree with you that Tagalog should be used more but don't exclude those who cannot converse in the language. Sadly my daughter does not speak the language hardly at all (we are overseas). Your question is actually a very good one: Salamat, suwerte, paalam.

You are lost, as are many others. This is Yahoo TRAVEL, Philippine section (ie: just like Yahoo Travel Singapore section or Japan section). It is also an english forum, therefore people write mostly in english (it is actually a violation to write in a language other than english in this section).
There is no Yahoo Philippines, but some people have turned this section into that. Most other travel sections have remained such, with questions and answers regarding travel. This has become a free for all.

Not everyone that goes on Yahoo Answer Philippines can understand the filipino language, but everyone can understand the english language.

This is supposed to be Travel Philippines. There is a separate Yahoo Philippines you can log on to. But as the lady from Australia said, Filipinos have mistakenly taken over this section as their chat room. I have asked the same question before but most of my kababayans told me this is the right place. I still doubt them.

no, this isn't Yahoo Philippines, there just happens to be a philippines category.
