I want to make sure you understand I'm not calling bush hitler or stalin but using them as examples of what happens is okay when people fail to keep tight reins on their leadership.Where do you think America would be if we didn't have a congress and a court to keep some control over this administration. When you have a president that fails to understand there is no constitutional powers to limit American freedom in time of war.We now have a patriot act that probably crosses are constitutional rights and a court that has been seeded with conservatives that won't judge your rights as they should. We have a president who violated wire tapping laws and is now finally using the fisa court we should hope.I'm sorry but I'm not going to allow myself to become a mindless sheep even for a president I like.America is a democratic republic and are rights as citizens should be held above the elections of the president or members of congress their job by oath is to defend the constitution by military force if necessary and manage are country that allows them to pass laws but only within the framework of the constitution.Think about it if they are bound by oath to defend the constitution there is no way they have the authority to pass a law that weakens anyones rights or take in action in violation of this to do so is treason and it shouldn't matter which party they are in.

I'll stand beside a leader who actually leads. The current occupant of the White House hasn't shown me any leadership qualities yet. He's a liar, an incompetent, and a fool. Clearly one of the worst presidents we've ever had.

That's what Hitler got. And make no mistake, I am not comparing Hitler to Bush, just the concept you mentioned.
And secondly, why is voicing our concerns about where our country is headed considered against our president? I will "turn against the president" if I think the president is wrong but really, I am just excercising my right to voice my opinion on the matters. Look where listening to bush got us.
Now I have to go back and also say, I support the war because for reasons independent of Bush.

Listen well!! nobody will turn on any leader of a country if whoever in office holds well & non biased to other country & is fair & understanding to others in knowledge of the system world wide.
If U r referrign to this present "meany" in US then he's got it coming. To top it all he has a bunch of "CROONIES" that are so GESTAPO BRAINED it shocks the world in this current era. Who on earth runs a BIG Nation in the manner he did?? TAKE A LOOK AT POLLS NOW & U WILL SEE THIS "CREATURE" IS THE WORST ALL TIME PRESIDENT.

The citizen of any country would turn against their leaders, if their leaders were drastically going against what they want for their country. There just comes a point when we can no longer trust our leaders' actions enough to tolerate them.

In answer to your question I quote Thomas Jefferson's words from the Declaration of Independence: "Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends [the rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness] it is the right of the People to alter or abolish it." Bush has proven himself a tyrrant, openly defiant of the will of the people, and eager to strip away our fundamental civil rights in the name of his war on terror.
