Ok first, you have to factor this problem. Start with the last term; 9.
The factors for 9 are 1,9 and 3,3 right?
So which of these pairs, when combined makes the second term (6x)? 3,3!
So now, all you have to do is set it up and figure out if they're positive or negative. Because 6 is negative (-6x) and 9 is positive, (+9) you can conclude that they are both negative.
Here's how. Set up your factored equation:
(x ? 3) (x ? 3)
+3 and +3 will give you the +9, but also yields a +6.
-3 and +3 gets you no 6 and a -9.

(a+b) ^2 = a^2 + 2ab +b^2
(a-b)^2 = a^2 -2ab + b^2
so for this question
a is x and b is 3
cuz it's
(x-3)^2 = x^2 - 2 times 3 times x + (3)^2
so x= 3
or you can also use
use cross multiplication my dear
x - 3 I- 3x
x - 3 I -3x
--------I-------
x^2 9 I -6x
so the answer is (x-3)(x-3)=0
x=3 still :D
