Because we have a "market economy" which always regulates the "price" of food.

Too much wheat?
Throw it in the ocean to make sure prices remain high.

Also, civil wars and instability can effect this.
How would you feel if a militia came and took your whole crop? (This kind of stuff happens in Africa, for example.)

Enough food for it to be wasted I think not YET that is infact what third worlds are doing maybe less then 2nd and 1st worlds but none the less they waste food in multiple ways. They are also wasting the chances they have to make even more food by using too much of it and taxing the lands they live on. Desertification anyone?

It seems to me that were ever there is famine, armed conflict is a foot. The aide agencies have trouble getting the food to the people,These people who bring food are courageous dealing with war lords and corrupt officials, often to the point of risking there own lives. Some times there is nothing that can be done short of sending troops in from out side Countries,. This however is problematic as we saw in Somalia some years ago.

Jillie, nanay dodo and Kayla answered your question.

Really the world bank, and the club of Rome and the big 8 and the United States give alot of money, goods, and services to poor countries. If the rulers and their cronies are not running the country the average person will get what they need. If not then starvation, famine, poverty, strife, and then their rulers will blame the US and other rich countries for not helping them enough.

God created this world with a soil which will bloom on its own. But when Adam and Eve sinned, it was cursed. Now, we have to till it to make it bear plants.

Man has free will. He has it to decide on how many children he wants. Many people have many children, especially in third world countries. But man isn't yet increasing its production as population increases itself.

This is our problem. We are so many and yet our food supply is limited.

Because of their governments. African people are mostly nomadic but they have been told they must stay in one place so they end up starving. Also, there is plenty of food, it just isn't being given to them like it is supposed to be because of red tape. Tons of food sits there rotting because no one makes them distribute it. It is very sad.

God created a world with enough food?

Maybe he did.

BUT

He forgot to make sure that it gets to poor innocent children. He also forgets to listen, to their prayers as they painfully starve to death...!!!

Maybe it was just an oversight on his part???

I guess A R answered it pretty well.. its very true...

read this book titled 'how the other half dies' by susan george... it really explains your question in great detail!

its all about how the other half makes the other half die.. n its not a conspiracy theory... the book is written by reputed and noted economists who explain the whole process meticulously. poverty is deliberately created.

and you may read karl marx as well! especially 'the manifesto of the communist party'... its a very intelligent book. reflects on the political and economic structures of the world and the consequences of capitalism.
