get a small disposable paint brush and big cup of soapy water. use a good amount of soap in the mix (about half) dish soap works pretty good.

Take the soapy water and paint it onto every pipe fitting, and the leak will eventually show itself by blowing bubbles out of the joint that is leaking.

If this doesn't work- don't keep messing with it. Call a plumber and get a pro to fix it.

409 all purpose cleaner works great for finding small gas leaks. Spray all fittings. Spray your gas regulator, these are notorious for leaking if the diaphragm is faulty. If this isn't a new install your leak may be underground. If you have a dog kennel out side check there. The dog urine goes into the ground and eats away at the copper pipe.

Spray/wet the tanks and fittings with water and detergent mixed. The leak should make bubbles in the soapy water (where the gas escapes), so making it possible to locate and fix the leak.
The soap just makes the bubbles last long enough to find.

Find a spray bottle like a Windex and spray all connections. Any leaks will cause a bubble and verify the leak. Repair may include tightening or replacing the connection.
