Mixture implies 2 or more distinct compounds/types of molecules. Water vapor is just another state of water (H2O) so should still be a single compound.

It would be a mixture i guess if you thought that the water was in a gaseous form and part of the atmosphere. or if there were other things in the water i.e. ethanol

Water is a chemical compound of hydrogen and oxygen. So water in any form is a compound.

It is still a compound... nothing is added to the water except that its bonds loosen up which makes it lighter that's why it evaporates.
