I got admitted to Caltech and Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering (as you see, I am very interested in engineering). ok. reasonable. I just visited the two colleges, and I found the Caltech atmosphere so...weird. The students are different. weirdo nerds. The are so ...i can't explain. What do you think about Caltech? I thought its the nations best engineering college. I didnt like caltech so much, and I have decided to go to Olin College. What would you do?

pfft. All thoose who complain I am not worthy of Caltech, I pity you. IF I WASN'T WORTHY, THEN WHY DID I GET ACCEPTED??? Use your brains. Wow. I expected better...

Olin is for pretty smart kids who are going to be dull, bytherules engineers. Caltech is for kids who are outside the box, obsessed problem solving one-of-a-kind brainiacs.
Someday you will be a senior engineer running a complex project and you will try to hire a Caltech guy to work for you. You will have to pay him a huge salary and he will drive you nuts with his eccentricities. But he will also solve your toughest problems with some ingenious idea that you would never have thought of because it wasn't in your curriculum. You will be his boss, but everyone will know who is replaceable.
You are right not to go there. You don't belong at Caltech. It is not just about being smart. It is about being the kind of person they are and you are.

The fact that you're doubtful about choosing Caltech over freaking 'Olin' really shows you're definitely not worthy enough for CIT

My cousin goes to CalTech... He's probably not any nerdier then people you'd find at other Ivy League Engineering Schools. You're choice though...

Ash, before you embarass yourself totally, go back to grammar school and learn how to spell, and how to parse a sentence. You would never make the grade at Cal Tech, I can assure you. First of all you would have to know how to spell words from the Hollywood sign ... so you could assist in a New Year's day assault on the establishment, at least once in your college career.
If you want to go to Olin College so much, go there. Why dis Cal Tech. They have never done anything to dis you.
