Michael Jeffrey Jordan was born in Brooklyn, NY on Feb. 17, 1963 but he settled and grew up in Wilmington, NC, where he also had his education (University of North Carolina).
Well, he's most famous as a professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls and, later on, the Washington Wizards. While in Chicago, he won 6 NBA championships, was named regular season MVP 5 times and finals MVP 6 times. Jordan was also a 10-time All-NBA first team and 9-time All-defensive first team selections and was named one of the 50 Greatest Players of all time.

He was born in Brooklyn, NY. in 1963 and he is most famous for playing and dominating the game of basketball and taking it to another level during a time when the game needed a superstar like him to take over. His individual talent was unlike any other but his most successful accomplishment was finally breaking through and being a team leader and leading his team to the first of six championships in 1991. In addition to those 6 titles he also has won numerous MVP awards (regular season and Finals), scoring titles, etc.
