You (the company) might want to determine your "ecological footprint", such as how much carbon-equivalent is needed to produce your product. You could then purchase (on either of at least two exchanges) credits to cover the emissions. If you do business in a country with stricter ecological standards, you may wish to advertise something like "meets IEC XXX". For social responsibility to communities, you may need to meet with communities (or representatives thereof) in which you do business. If the company can locate in a residential area, or allow telecommuting, this may reduce commuting and emissions. Alternatively, location in a city with good mass-transit systems could help. Europe seems to have fairly stiff laws regarding pollution and waste disposal. If you can meet those, you may have something to brag about.
