My Accord (Automatic) has 98K miles. Its always service at honda dealers.Last Trans service was 76K. Last oil change-3 weeks ago. Last w/e, the problem started suddenly. Was driving 25mph and my car started jerking, felt like it was slipping out of gear. On the freeway, going 40 mph, my RPM was at 4 (4000). I couldn't drive faster because I thought my car was going to overheat. I pulled over n called a tow trunk.

Than it was hard to reverse. Felt like it was in park and I was trying to reverse...I had to turned my car off completely and start it again for it to work.Just my luck, my warranty ran out at 75K. I left my car unused for 2 days and drove it a mechanic shop. At first the test drive was fine, like nothing happened. After driving it on the freeway for about 10 min, thats when it started jerking again, this time, worst. He did a diagnostic and the code 0747 line pressure & 0752 shift sol appeared. Suggested i get it fix before getting a new tranny. Ur advise is soappreciated

Oh I also forgot to mention that when the mechanic checked my transmission fluid, it was brown and smells burnt. He told me I should get the two pressure thingys change to see if my tranny will work properly, but thats me paying 600-800 with no gaurantee. Urghhh.. :(

Sounds to me it just needs the bottom end rebuilt and flushed.Doesnt cost much and consists of.....New internal filters, valves and gaskets and a flush to try and get the blockage out of the line,if its not just a blocked filter or sticky valve.should be around 250-300bucks if done at a workshop but to do it your self, the rebiuld that is would be about 40 for the kit and however much for fluid.Hoping that thats all it is and that you dont need it flushed.

The 0747 code is a/t clutch pressure control solinoid,0752 shift solinoid valve A stuck on.Both these code coinside with your problem. Also a recall on no reverse 03-042 dec.3,have the recall checked out and reference the above no.It may have been done, its a prom update.

Well this not a good thing.
But, try a tuneup first and see what happen. If, Plugs and Wires, Timing and Fuel Injector cleaner are good then this "not" good what you say. Transmissions are big money makers if you can not fix them yourself.

I hope you are getting this car dirt cheap because it is going to have problems due to the fact that it has a lot of miles on it. You would do better to buy a car with less than 60,000 miles.
