There are no reasons why Neil Armstrong did not land on the Moon, for the very simple reason that he DID land on the Moon, as did Buzz Aldrin, Pete Conrad, Al Bean, Al Shepard, Ed Mitchell, Charlie Duke, John Young, Gene Cernan and Jack Schmitt. There is not one single piece of hoax 'evidence' that actually stands up to the merest hint of sensible scrutiny.

And to the person who said the backpack was too big to fit through the LM hatch, would you care to explain how, if that is so, the photographic, film and video record is chock-full of pictures and film of the astronauts going in and out of the LM with the backpack on?

Quite simple, we went, so no reasons as to why we didn't.
To Wyrmwood (who I give a thumbs down to):

"There are plenty of reasons not to believe the moon landings.
First and foremost is that the US Govt has a proven record of mistrust and deception. Particularly with their own citizens.
The motive for this deception was the psychotic jealously of the soviet space program."
And this is proof that we didn't go. So I guess then if the government states they have spy satellites they're lying about that as well then. This is very weak argument used by people who dislike the government. Doesn’t mean a thing!

"Probably the greatest reason why you would have to question the likelihood of the landings is the radiation levels beyond the Earths magnetic field. They are high enough to irradiate anything that was not protected by an equivalent of several feet of lead. The skin of the apollo capsule was a fraction an an inch thick. The space suits worn by Armstrong & Co were a composite of rubber and aluminium about an inch thick. Suspicious???"
Doctor James Van Allen himself, who knew a lot more about this then the conspiracy theorists, stated man could travel though this belt. It’s if you stay in it for an extended period of time that you'll get a harmful dose of radiation.

"Ever wondered why manned missions now only go to about 300 miles up? The soviets figured it out in the early 60's and that is why they never sent a manned mission to the moon. Don't you think they would have just to prove to the world that they could, IF it was possible? (remember that they had more powerful rockets and more experienced personnel)"
If the Soviet Union doubted that the US went to the moon, then WHY didn't they say anything? It would have been a great embarrassment to the US if the USSR had indeed told the world about this back when it happened.

***To all the clowns with heavy thumbs. Come up with valid data to counter my arguement...a quiet thumb down means nothing but that you're too thick or too coward to respond!
You're not US Govt are you???***

rz1971: Excellent response! Thumbs up. Don't entirely agree but I'm not the crazed conspiracy theorist you might think.

the cowards: That wasn't too hard to answer was it? Next time get some balls, do some study, and you might get some respect!

chicago_pool_dude:

I hope you realise that "Dark Side of the Moon" is a brilliant piece of satire, a mockumentary, and not an actual documentary? It is a hoax itself, put together by its director to prove that conspiracies can be built up from totally innocent footage of famous people by clever editing, with the addition of some actors and the connivance of some real people, such as Mrs. Kubrick and Mrs. Aldrin.
