While there may be some uncivilised players in Cricket too as in any other game/sports, I do not think that it is a fair statement that most of the cricket players are uncivilised.

It all comes down to your upbringing. You are correct in saying that most cricketers and not all are uncivilized. There are some exceptions such as Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble, Brian Lara, Stephen Fleming, etc. who are extremely well behaved and gentlemanly. The fact is most cricketers are not well educated, thus they have trouble behaving on the field. For example, if you saw Sreesanth behave on the field last night in the Twenty20 match against the Africa XI, it was appalling. He had just bowled the batsman, and the batsman was just walking away. Sreesanth gave a stare and said what appeared to be an expletive to the batsman. Nobody will say Sreesanth was being aggressive there, but plainly stupid.

Dravid with the cough sweets(for swing), sachin scratching the ball, harbhajan just by being harbhajan, ganguly for everything he did as captain and last but not least the behaviour of the indian fans when things aren't going their way. Not most but yes quite a good number of payers are not that much civilized as they shoud be .....Some of them think it a mean to pressurize other teams but it never look decent to me on the field.. Cricket is called a game of gentlemen...and some players do n't fit into this gentlemen description ! but only 'some" not All !!
