I have problems with my outlook express.
I am receiving multiple emails (the same messages) over and over again and then it comes up with the message - this program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down).
So outlook express closes down.
What is causing this and how can I fix it?
thanks.

Try deleting your inbox. Ill try and help you find it.

Click My Computer
It would be under C: , Documents and settings

at this point turn hidden files on by clicking Tools at the top of your explorer window, the click folder options. Then click View, then look for "show hidden files" and click the radio button to turn it on.

Now, back in explorer, click on application data, then microsft. Now look for Outlook and look for your inbox. Delete the file as if it were any other file.

***WARNING*** make a backup copy if there are any emails that you absolutely do not want to lose. Deleting your inbox will cause all emails in it to be permanently erased.

Now when you restart Outlook it will re-create an empty inbox. Hopefully this helps.

Sounds like a virus. Outlook is very susceptible to attacks like that. Re-install Outlook and make sure you have a firewall/anti-virus suite running and run Windows Update regularly.

Use the BCC characteristic of whichever digital mail product you're utilising. as an occasion, in case you utilize Outlook or Outlook exhibit, and you do no longer see the BCC line while sending out messages, do here: click on "Create Mail" then click View on your menu bar and pass to All Headers ... now you may see the Bcc: determination alongside with the To: and Cc:

This happens now and then, I generally shut down and reboot. That generally corrects the problem for me. If not run a anti -virus program.
