If it were required that ALL Americans must get chips inserted in their skin for identification purposes what would you say?

What do you think about putting chips in ILLEGALS if they are caught here and having 'beepers' at certain locations to catch them if they come back?

No Way . BTW , have you heard the story that they may try that on May 12, 2008 ?
I know half the story is true(they are organizing efforts to give a national I.D. card to everyone . And I have heard it would include a computer-chip . Also I've heard that we may be given the option of having it inserted into our skin .

This is truly dangerous . I will receive no mark whatsoever !!

EDIT* - Funny how some people won't do it because they don't want to be watched . I don't want it because of Jesus reasons !!!
There are many already in use and have been for years . They also contain all your financial and health records . If they do this , it will be done under the auspices of safety . Safety for identity theft . Safety for tracking missing children . Safety for our lost pets . And convienence of not carrying money or needing health records in the event of an emergency .

Boy , is our time up already ?!?!

No. I have also turned off the GPS in my phone and will never buy a vehicle with OnStar. The people who I care about usually know where I am. The government has no right to know.

There are many states that "chip" habitual offenders. Does the right to be "secure in one's person" outweigh our desire for more public safety? As Franklin said, “Anyone who trades liberty for security deserves neither liberty nor security”.

I am also opposed to the "chipped" mandatory government ID most of the Presidential candidates are pushing. I have a passport, as should most Americans. If you don't have one, get it NOW, before they start putting the RFID chips in those (it's coming soon).

Just as an aside, RFID chips can be disabled by placing them in the microwave for 10 seconds. Be prepared for a lot of sparking, though...

I have to be honest with you. The way you refer to "illegals" makes me nervous. You seem to think that they are a different class of human being than those of us who were fortunate enough to have been born here, or those who have become naturalized citizens.

Our dog has a microchip implanted between her shoulder blades. It was done by the people who originally had her, so it was a fait accompli when we got her. However, judging from the peace of mind we get from her having it, I doubt we will ever again have a pet without also getting him or her chipped (probably at the same time we have him or her neutered or spayed).

I have a tracking device, of sorts, because I have a device implanted in my heart to repair a defect, and it has a serial number. But it doesn't really infringe on my privacy because the only way someone can read the serial number is by digging it out of my heart, where it has been covered by layers and layers of scar tissue. If someone should need to identify my body after death, they are free to use that information, because I won't care.

Otherwise, I find the idea of tracking devices for humans, all humans, absolutely disgusting. I won't even drive a vehicle with OnStar because I don't like the idea that someone can track where I have been or where I am at a given time. I know a lot of people find comfort in that, but it isn't for me. If you can't figure out that you need to stick a spare key in your wallet, or some other place where you can get ahold of it if needed, I seriously wonder how you managed to drive before OnStar became available.

So, if Uncle Sam decides I, or anyone else, for that matter, needs to be chipped, I will protest, and I will refuse. I love my country, but if it should ever come to that, I will know that the US is no longer the country where I was born, the country I love, and that it has finally become time for me to die for my country. They can chip my remains after I rise up against the goverment and am killed for my treason. At that point it won't matter, because the country we love now will be a thing of the past.

That would be a direct Constitutional Violation, and Americans would not tolerate that kind of nazi tactics!
let's just start by drug testing all the politicians who work in Congress, House, Supreme Court, President's Cabinet and the president and his advisers to find out who is so-mind-fuddled they thought this would fly with Americans.
Illegals need to be treated as violators of American national Laws and arrested, fined, and deported. No trials. No debates. If you break the law, you are not protected under the US umbrella!! Go home illegals---and let's vote in some BODY??? who can start to make decisions that are in the best interest of REAL AMERICANS!!!!

I will never allow myself or any member of my family to be chipped.
But last I heard China was starting to chip certain products such as shoes to keep track of where the product goes after its left the market.
When they can lower the cost to chip everything to half a cent then virtually everything China produces will be chipped.
And their not the only ones that intends to do this.
You may have something right now that has a small tracking device in it and you would never know it was there.
Oh by the way Walmart is endorsing this idea as well and eventually wants all of their products to be chipped.
What a world.

I could never consent to such a program. I am afraid that I would have to leave the country or try to live here without one.

Chipping illegals? If I don't want one then I don't think I can impose this program on others. However, that being said, I am still pretty ticked off about how illegals are raping this country, in particular, my pocket book.

No and no. We would just end up with a lot of people cutting themselves open and removing them in both cases. Now maybe if I had a choice to have one or not and full control of what information was placed on the chip. Such as critical medical information that could save my life in an emergancy but I still don't like the idea.

Not under any circumstances! The chips placed in troops in Vietnam were later used to blow their heads off!

No to a chip for me and as far as illegal’s caught here I say yes and the same for Americans that rape or is a pedophile or commit murder or drunk drivers and many others but only when they harm another person or persons. At least then we might be able to curb the number of missing persons to down below 2000 a year.

Probably, I already use electronic keys for entry into some of the places that I go, Certain ATM's, Work in general, specific areas inside work.
My movements can already be easily tracked via my cellphone usage, credi/debit purchases.
Linking medical information with the chip could help emergency responders and hospitals if you were incapacitated.
