i was watching team america world police tonight, and i always thought the song that sings "freedom isn't free it costs folks like u and me....and if u don't chip in ur buck o' five, who will?" i thought it refered to the tax on gas prices...does anyone know the truth, or at least have another idea?

I always thought it was a random pricetag placed on freedom, since people are always saying "freedom isn't free". And if we don't all chip in, we'll never pay that bill.

Yes But what are people willing to pay for it. Over the course of history many have given their life as they knew that life with out it is not worth living. And to bow down and pray five times a day and be forced to become a Muslim or a Democrat is not some thing I would want to live as. I would do as our fathers and forefathers have by sacrificing any and every thing including life to have and keep freedom. And before you losers on the left say why am Not in Iraq stop ask how you know if I am or not. God Bless America and all who have given the highest price and those who put it on the line even if they did not have to pay it. They did it for you to be stupid on the left. And Us on the right who love them for knowing and doing. God Bless America and to helllllll with the left.

My take on it was more of a cynical one considering the movie. I thought of "a buck 05" as a menu item at a fast food restaurant . haha. Obviously, different sales tax amounts would change the amount from location to location.
