NO!!
First of all, I think Brett's got a one more OK year on him, and plus they used a first round pick on Cal Star Aaron Rodgers.

The Packers made a terrible mistake in taking Aaron Rodgers a couple of years ago - even though he was the best player on the board, it put them behind the 8 ball for at least 2 years in being able to fill in other needs. I hate to be the bearer of bad news here, but it takes more than a star QB to win championships. You want proof, go back and watch super bowl video from 35 and 37.
Justin Harrel was a fine selection. He's a big, strong, quick guy who will pay immediate dividends on the D-line. Quinn would not only cost way too much money, but Green Bay already has their QB of the future - and I'm not talking about Rodgers. Look at the guy who is penciled at the #3 spot right now - his name is Ingle Martin - that guy has tons of potential and I believe that when Favre retires, he will be the guy to step up and take the lead for the team.

Like the one guy said Quinn did go way too late in the round but I think Rodgers will be a good fit. They should have gave him some more playing time ( like if the Game was a blowout ) last year. Farve is one of the best Qb's too play the game and with them not getting Moss and losing walker a year ago is a big deal. I just hope he pulls out a good year and goes out on top. That may be a long shot but a guy can Dream.

I think they already have a guy on their roster who has more potential than Quinn. Don't forget about Aaron Rodgers. He's a smart, talented QB with excellent fundamentals, and he's just waiting for Favre to retire to step into the starting role. Drafting Quinn would be a wasted pick for Green Bay because they already have a long-term starter at QB.

quinn isn't very good. Yes I have seen him, he won't do well in the NFL. Every time he played a good teams he did nothing, (well ok he won 1 game only because a lineman pushed him in to the end zone, which is a suppose to be against the rules.) every bowl game he was in, he sucked and they lost. He almost cried when he wasn't drafted. I think he is the next Ryan Leaf. The Packers have a QB in the wings in rodgers who is in their system, who would have gotten his chance had Farve retired like they thought he would.

The Packers had no reason to draft Brady Quinn because they already have Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers hasn't seen any significant playing time backing up #4...Plus Quinn would have to learn the offense and be ready to take over when Favre hangs it up, Rodgers already has two seasons under his belt and some experience to count on when he eventually takes over as QB.

No, Quinn is over rated. They got Aaron Rodgers who has a couple of years in the system, so he's better to take over for Favre. Even if Quinn turns out to be a better QB there'd be a lot of growing pains. I'd rather they'd take a QB in a later round and let him learn. Most first rounders don't work out.

They have Rodgers....Quinn will be a flop....if he can't play well against a top college team, how the heck will he do well in the NFL??? The only time Quinn did well is when ND played the patsy portion of their schedule....which is 85%....when he played against the big boys he flopped....
To the "ND bashers" guys down below.....Quinn is such a GREAT QB....his real games he played this year....
Mich 24-48 50% 3 int
USC 22-45 48%
LSU 15-35 43% 2 int
47% completion rating against real teams...awesome....
sounds like a Hall of Famer in the making to me.....send me your e-mail so we can chat a few years from now.....stats against the mighty programs of Navy, Army, Air Force and North Carolina sure do count....in your minds....phenominal QB. Facts are facts....no ND hater here...just facts. Face em ....

They got that rogers a couple years ago, they should be set for a while. I think that Farve hanging on is helping the team. The rest of the team isn't that good, so no one would be winning a ton with them, and it's keeping the critics away from the kid and letting him develop.

Quinn would have been a better pick than Justin Harrell, but with Rodgers/Martin on the bench they could have done better by picking a RB, TE, WR.
I love listening to all the Quinn/ND bashers. The more you let them talk, the more they show you just how smart they really are.

No. Quinn is a mediocre QB. They already have a mediocre QB waiting in the wings with Rodgers. I think the Packers will simply get their next Star QB in another draft, letting Rodgers fill in until then.
The only reason they MAYBE "should" have drafted Quinn is to have used him as trade bait.
