I suppose your talking about this Immigration Bill. Assuming that you pull that (R) lever in the voting booth against your better interest--the current situation must be giving you fits--as noted by the question. Maybe your an Illegal--who cares. Looking back on all the Civil Rights legislation that has been passed by Democratic legislators--you have no legs to stand on regarding "racist democrats."

Just because the Corporate Fascist backed Republicans, the White House and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Kennedy (who wreaks like Liebermann on this one) drew up this bill, no way justifies it's need for passage. This Bill does not address even half the myriad of problems with our current policy. The author of the legislation passed in 1986 calls this bill rubbish at best. Allowing the number of H1B visa's to triple without any singnificant changes to our own educational system will do nothing more than allow immigrants to take over some of the most coveted jobs still left in our country.

Moreover--the issue of the day is IRAQ. Until we resolve this illegal occupation, get our National Guardsman home to defend our borders, secure our ports, Get that stubborn Muthafucka in the Whitehouse to pass the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission--Immigration will just half to wait....

What country do you live in man? Democrats pander to minorities on a regular basis. Based on that alone your question is incredibly flawed.

For arguments sake I will assume you mean politicians in general.

The answer to that is simple. Politicians will see you as equal when you stop depending on them to solve all of your problems.

When did your parents stop seeing you as a dependent child? When you turned 18, started taking responsibility for your actions, and started providing for yourself. Same with government. When you stop needing politicians to provide for you, they'll respect your "people" as a whole and you'll get your much regarded equal acceptance. Careful though, let me tell ya it's pretty hard to get any kind of financial assistance being a 25 year old Caucasian male in this country. You sure you would like the burden of that many expectations?

For those that are puzzled by this question. It is a position held by certain people that Democrats assume the position of protector for minorities because they cannot fend for themselves. While there may be some few that believe this point of view it is not my own.
