Mardi Gras doubloons are basically worthless. They have more of a sentimental value.......unless you have some that are very old, then they may be worth something. I've never heard of a doubloon pricing guide. Best of luck to you.

The doubloon's are not worthless some are quite rare. There is a collector base out there. There is also a price guide, however I have not seen it advertised in a couple of years. I do remember seeing an ad for it in Numismatic News sometime ago. I am 63 so my memory is good, but not as great as it was. With a little work on your part you can find out. First go to Yahoo groups and see if there is a collector group. You also can try the medal and token society, you should be able to reach them through a search engine like Yahoo or google. Keep searching on the web you will find collectors and they will help you. I do not collect them but have a few, for they are a true piece of Americana. Hope I have helped some?

Yes, I have collected them for many years and inherited my Mom's collection too. I have a rare actual gold Bacchus doubloon. Someone in the Bacchus crew gave it to my Mom. It's beautiful! I also have many sets which are one of each color of the same year. My kids argue about who will inherit them from me. LOL

They are pretty much worthless trinkets that are thrown away for free. If they had any value, they wouldn't be thrown away.
