Brees Is AWESOME!!!!! Who isn't givning him love?!?!?!?!He HAD to be the NFC MVP I don't remember if it was him but I think it was.. I thought he was crazy for going to new orleans, and that he only went there for a money grab and that he should have went to Miami. Boy WAS I WRONG!!!!!!!!I picked him up in the 3rd week of the season in my fantasy league. And I would take him with a second round pick this year maybe a first. New Orleans is Loaded with WR talent. Next year you'll be saying Joe Who????? While Joe Horn is wondering if "maybe i should have went to somewhere else instead of atlanta."

The only thing I have to say why some dont give him respect is before New Orleans he was the MASTER of the dump pass and rarely if ever threw a long pass in the air. Not to mention he was oft-injured. With the Saints he throws the ball everywhere and has maintained injury free year.

Now that he is in New Orleans I think he is the best QB in the NFC and the 4th best in the entire NFL. Plus his career will only get better and he has a very strong chance to take New Orleans to their first superbowl. Very strong QB and if he wasnt playing in an era with Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Carson Palmer who are three very chiseled out of QB rock he may be even higher. Still there are 28 teams who would love to have him.

you must give brees some more time to grow look at his season before he made the move to new orleans, and consider the fact brees didnt come to life as a quarterback untill his starting job at san diego was challenge by the emergence of rivers. and brees' predecessor in san diego rivers also had a stellar season last season and to add insult to injury the dominating play of sir LT. But believe me if brees can bring the pain in 2007 he will give manning, palmer a run for their money especially if the newly revamped offense in new england stalls but for right now all eyes are on the Moss and brady factor. do remember the saints lost Joe Horn, the be question can the mccalister and bush factor help 1st round pick Robert Meachum :)(go vols) to fill in the gap left by a great new orleans veteran horn. who should be one of the saints franchise greatest player of all time. the nfc south will be the one of the toughest divisions in football but most critics believe that the saints we're successful because of their surprise style of play and if i know the nfc south the nfc south adjusts to the opponents and get better every year. the Panthers and falcons will give brees Hell on the offensive front but the buccaneers are aging fast they are still relying on some very aging vets (ie Derrick Brooks, simeon rice, ronde barber)if Brees can overcome the NFC South and earn a playoff berth he will undoubtly get the respect he deserves.

I think Bree's is a great QB and I hope Miami would have signed him last year instead of the mess they have had for the last 10 years. Lets see Bree's was the NFC MVP last year, made the pro bowl and gave the city of New Orleans something to cheer about, I do not know what you mean about no respect, but the players and coaches of the league know who he is and all about. They are my pick to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl against the SD Chargers this year.

Who was VOTED in as the startng quarterback for the NFC and First Team All-Pro last year? It was Drew Brees. The only bigger award he could have gotten voted for was MVP. Go ahead and argue that Drew should have been the MVP over Ladanian Tomlinson. I might even agree with you. But the "R" word gets used way too often than it should. Stop whining about respect when it's already been given!!!!

He has become a very good quarterback. He may not be in the same league as Manning and Brady, but his team went to the playoffs last year. I am a Falcon fan and I remember he came out the same year as Vick. They have gone in opposite directions. Brees has gotten better every year and Vick has gotten worse every year. Brees is now a much better quarterback.

As a long time Chargers fan, Brees finally showed what he was able to do during his final season in San Diego. If he had done this before, the River would be else where and still be crying. We miss you Drew!!!

You want love for Brees? Just watch how he blows up this year. Colston, Henderson, Copper, Patten, Bush, and the new guys Meachem and Peterson. Who's he gonna throw it to? It doesn't matter cause he will get it done.
I can only pray that Alex Smith has a similar year like Brees!!!

I dont know why he doesnt get mentioned much, he was very good the last few years, he has really improved, last year was amazing, he put up some big numbers...whats more amazing is that he did it with an average receiving core, colston was good but joe horn was just ok and then they had reggie bush and he did good at receiving in the backfield.

Maybe he should be named all-pro, sent to the pro bowl, or be in the MVP discussion. Wait, he was all three of those last year.

Whoever's not respecting Drew Brees is just not paying attention.
