I met this one guy, and we have alot in common, except that he lives on the other side of the country... we're exactly alike in almost every way, and I'm pretty sure he has a crush on me, but because of the distance neither of us want a relationship, we'd like to remain friends. I feel like I'm corrupting him and bothering him because I've been having insomniac moments (staying up until maybe 7am) and I'll just stay online and check out websites, and he'll make himself stay up that late just so he can keep me company and 'he likes talking to me'. He'll also IM me and txt me during classes, and he's getting in trouble with professors for doing that. The most recent thing he did was send me a gift (that cost him about $40). I feel really guilty, and I've confronted him about it, but he says that he knows he doesn't have to do that, he just wants to. What should I do?

All you can do is be nice. But when it comes to letting him get in trouble for emailing or IM'ing you in class I don't think that should not be going down, so tell him to chill on that. And be honest on what you want from your friendship with him. If you just want the friendship TELL HIM because the gift things says more than friendship. He sounds like he wants more than a friend.

Look chill out, don't get too over done on a guy across country, friendship is cool too! But be a good friend and let him sleep, don't talk romances at all cause he likes you.
