Oh, jeez, I can't remember the exact date, but I know it was a Friday because we all partied long after it since we could sleep late the next day. That Pope Leo III could really pour it down and hold it, and I know, because I used to drink Pope Leo II under the table at all our parties.

Charlemagne wasn't as much fun, always worrying about the army being prepared and such and whining about the title he wanted. We all told him that Holy Roman Emperor was too long, but he insisted, and he wasn't even Italian, (and to be truthful not so holy, either).
