Home is wherever I go at the end of the day, week....etc. and feel safe and comfortable. Right now I'm living abroad as a Peace Corps Volunteer. I have several 'homes'. :)
Home is my parent's house back in the U.S.
It's also the apartment I'm renting here.
And it's also my host family's place where I lived for my first few months in the country.

I recently had to redefine this for myself. I moved 2,000 miles away from my birthplace, and had to find a new home. I've been here 7 months now. I didn't want to be here; I had always promised myself I would never leave there, but life had other plans. Now in a old new house, I woke up one day with an over whelming sense of peace attached to the feeling that I was "home." The feeling was unbidden, unexpected, and has continued for the last 3 months. Not as strongly as that first moment, but in a way that has me applying psychological concepts to my daily life intentionally. I now look for new friends, maintain connections with old friends, and find what there is to appreciate in my new environment.

I think you can have more than one "home". I consider home the place where I live now in my apartment in Santa Barbara, but I also consider home my parents house in Chicago. Home is just a place where I have memories of life, and where I know that I can find people that care about me and will help me.

You have the best answer to that and I have found to have more than one home. To me, home is where I have one room that is quiet, dark and smells good where I feel I have total control and can seek refuge whenever necessary.

Home to me is wherever I am. It lives inside of me and I'm
just as comfortable outside or inside or at a friend's house
or on the road or in a hotel or in another country. Kind of
take my shell with me like a turtle.

My definition of "home' is where you hang your hat! Growing up in the military, you learn to hang your hat where you get moved to! Your family is always with you, no matter where you are in the world! You make the best of what you have when you have it!

to me, home is not a place, it is people. Individually and collectively. People that I feel safe with, that I long to be with. Friends that I know will welcome and embrace me, even if I haven't seen them for years.
Home is the memory of my late father, my mom's cooking (that is not a good aspect of home :( ) My neice and nephew playing in the park.

Home is where I feel safe and secure. Home is where I feel loved and cherished. Home is where I can be myself and not worry about what the rest of the world thinks of me.

I think you already have the definition for what home is for most people. I would add that its your space and you have control of what takes place in your space.
