You should really look at your talents to find work that would create money without creating a job that you have to go to everyday. When I was a stay at home mom...I babysat. I have a friend who runs her own seamstress business from her home and I have a woman that comes by my job with ice chests full of burritos and cold sodas for sale. Advertise your skills...are you great at scrapbooking? Sewing? Photography? House sitting? Baby sitting? Animal Sitting? House Keeping? Do you have patients enough to help local pre-teens and teens with homework? makings quilts?

Finding something online is fairly difficult, most work at home sites offer to tell you how to work at home for a fee. many are not legit.

Is there an extra ordinary need in your community for some kind of service?

there are plenty of home based jobs you can take part in, marketing for example. phone sales etc. you decide your own hours. its usually all comission based though.

you can start out trading. ebay and places like that can be a goldmine. buy some items cheap, find a market for them somewhere else and sell them for profit.

Restorations. you can buy things like old chairs or woodworks or anything really, restore them to good condition and sell them for a profit. you dont need to be a handyman or anything like that, just have a little imagination.

If you have some cash saved up (this is how ive made a few quick - large - dollars). buy a very cheap run down house. paint it inside and out, a bit of garden maintenence goes a long way... spruce it up inside a bit... sell for large capitol gains. (watch out for the tax though).

You can start your own home based business... things like beadery - making necklaces and bracelets, fashion accessories. Beads and jewels are very inexpensive to buy, but with a little time and effort can fetch large amounts of money.

One of my friends was home bound due to health reasons... she started a costume jewellery business... hasn't left the house in over a year and makes an avg of $1000 a week.

Just a few suggestions to get you started.

Making money is a job. You can work from home on your computer. Search for it on the Internet. Be careful though not all offers are legit.

You can be a consultant of some sort, like for scrapbooking, tupperware, etc.

Or you can sell the stuff you don't need anymore, using ebay or craigslist.

You can also try babysitting.

You can sell stuff you own. Or buy stuff at garage sales and sell it on Ebay. All you need is a cheap digital camera.
