Beyond worrying about who will pay for Social Security, or employment of workers, taxes, US economy, and pride?
Hummm Give me US brands every time. As for the @%^@! that foreign cars last longer..have three U.S. SUV's at over 200,000 miles. Welcome back Chrysler.
Most of the Foreign plants are really screwdriver assembly. Majority of parts are not made here or purchases here. If they are, then some vendors have been forces to cooperate with foreign companies who deal with the parent company in over seas markets. We keep buying everything outside our economy, how long can we do that as only a consumer nation. Look at deficit now and growing.

Jap cars are less costly to operate, and get the best mileage. But I am an American car nut all the way. There is not one Jap car the gets the blood flowing like a Ford GT-40, or a Corvette ZR1, OR a Dodge Viper. Give me American, rear wheel drive any day of he week. I love to tap the throttle and feel the rear kick out. I love the sound of the big V-8 engine. And the eye candy! American all the way!

American. Japanese stuff is way over rated. No where as good or as maintenance free as people say. The ricer cars are another reason I hate them. They always brag about how fast they are but when it comes time for them to prove it. It either breaks ( Imagine that ) or fall way short of there claims. Can anyone ever picture a Honda or a Toyota being a classic in 30 or 40 years? Most of them fall apart or rot away in less than 15 years anyway.

Japanese, higher understanding of innovation on lower cc engine which is a must during these times of high gas cost. . One thing i like about those Japanese cars is that, they can make those little bitty engine churn out absolutely crazy bhp. They don't rely on huge engines.
