I see you ar having trouble with proportions.
memorize this:
Given: ANYTHINGS for some OTHERTHINGS,
where they are two numbers. To get the number of ANYTHINGS per ONE Otherthing you just divide the two numbers.

So: 240 pounds for 6 lawns is 240/6 pounds per lawn (= 40 lbs per lawn)
