Please don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to start any crap here.

I personally don't think that Hitler was a bad guy, maybe he was just "misunderstood", people just don't understand him.

Your thought?

i don't think you can mention the name 'hitler' here without starting any crap. that's like walking into a naacp meeting, yelling the n-word at the top of your lungs, then saying you weren't trying to start something. if you do not believe hitler to be bad, then it is you that misunderstands the man and what he did.

What a ludicrous statement, that Jews were trying to destroy Europe. It merely demonstrates how very little you know about the Europe of the 1920s and 1930s. Jews were a significant part of all the cultural and political movements, and worked in all countries - most particularly in Germany and Austria - with all other parts of society to make life better for everyone. But HItler managed to harness all the unpleasant prejudice to do what he did. If you don't think aiming to kill a whole group of people just for belonging to that group is bad, heaven help us. And exactly how do you work out (a) that Jews are responsible for multiculturalism and (b) that multiculturalism is bad? Of course, it all depends on how you define the term. If you don't think Hitler was bad, then you are.

Adolf Shickelgruber (actually Hieler) Not Hitler( a misspelling of his step fathers name)
Was baptized a Roman Catholic, considered entering the Monastery, and remained celibate, nearly all of his life: His father was a cruel disciplinarian and gave him no emotional or motivational support in any of his aspirations;
He had to wake up every morning, over looking the cemetery that his brother and mother were buried in and the families personal Dr. claimed that he never saw anyone in such grief, as Hieler, upon his mothers death: Both of his parents died when he was 18.

In mine kumf, after living on the streets, for 3 years, he wrote" This time has made me hard and I still have the capacity to be hard".

When leaving Austria, to avoid the draft, and to avoid prosecution, He wrote:" I have never had the opportunity to experience that beautiful thing, called childhood"
Does any of this sound particularily demonic ?

He fought in the trenches of WW I and, as millions of Germans( Prussians), including the military, thoroughly demoralized and humiliated by the armistice(at the hands of the French) never accepted the "end" of WW I.
Aside from the motivation and ability to sway the masses and a cunning ability to form alliances( usually the military) he,(Hieler) may be not so different as some present day
opportunists, given a similar set of circumstance.
When we can understand the byproducts of societies: Perhaps, understand the psyche moved by nationalistic and/or religeouse ferver: Acknowledge that we are and act as what society makes of us and less rely upon scapegoats, superstition, and displaced aggression, may such abberations be avoided in the future (if there is to be one).
The "Crusades": The "Spanish"/Catholic Inquisitions:
The annialation of the American Native Indain: Centuries of "Christain" / Judeo/ Moslem conflict: The many causes of ultraconsrvative "democratic" and dictatorial "causes";
Pick one or any of the above: Adolph Heiler's expressions of another "superior" race or country pales. This war has not yet, been "won" and and Adolf Heiler is no longer in it.

Yes he was actually. The two examples of the depth of his personal cruelty.

#1 - following the July 20th Plot, Hitler ordered the convicted bomb conspirators to be hung by piano wire at Ploetzensee in Berlin. He personally requested that the executions be filmed and he watched them at his leisure.

#2 - with the war clearly lost, Eva Braun's Brother in Law, SS Gen. Fegelein (Himmler's staff representative in Hitler's Bunker) basically goes AWOL. Hitler has him arrested and despite Eva's protestations, has him summarily executed. Pretty pointless with his own suicide only days away.

And of course, we can never forget that Hitler is the architect for the most infamous genocide in the history of mankind. Hitler himself may never have killed by his own hand. Despite that he gave the orders that resulted in the suffering and death of nearly 50 million people.

To be certain...no one who had the depths and capacity for evil that HItler did...can ever possibly be understood...it is beyond the average person's grasp....and thankfully so.

Did he missunderstand that Czechoslovakia wasn't his? He got the freaking Sudetenland where the Germans lived!

Can you say someone that desired war so much was missunderstood? Only a "bad guy" wants to start war.

On the other hand...he wasn't as much of a bad guy as Stalin who probably killed thousands more than Hitler...so I get where you are coming from; he's just blown out of proportion because the jews.

Had he not been out to kill every Jew in the world he would have been one of histories greatest leaders . He made promises and kept them .He told the German people he would give everyone a new car and did (the VW) . He created jobs and gave people a reason to live again . He just hated anyone that thought he was not a god on earth . That was his biggest problem.

I think you might be on to something. Jack the Ripper was just misunderstood, also. Oh, and that poor Jeffery Dalhmar was only hungry. Oh the injustice of it all! Himmler was so misunderstood! He was only a good mans best friend! And Edie Am in? He thought he was honoring his victims when he ate their hearts. And poor hounded, misunderstood, Saddam Husein. He only wanted peace, and to send people to Allah! You are so right my friend! Are you by chance a liberal?

He was two exits beyond misunderstood. If I say anything more concerning his passing, I'd earn about 10 citations.

Yes, he wanted to take over all of Germany, Russia, and Asia not to mention he wanted to and DID exterminate millions of people he deemed "un-worthy" of life.
Yes, he was a terrible man in so many ways.

Adolf Hitler was the devil on earth!!! He was directly responsible for the deaths of 12 million people and indirectly for another 38-40 million. He attempted to destroy the Jews in what became the most evil, bloodthirsty genocide in human history resulting in over 6 million Jews killed. He murdered his rivals, forced millions of young men to fight for an unjust cause and reigned as dictator. He was evil incarnate!!!
