Can you find at least one other co-worker friend to side with you? This can make it alot easier, two to combat the jokesters. I wouldn't go to the bosses yet until it becomes so totally unbearable........you say you don't care about them talking about who you are. You know you are gay and am comfortable with it. Don't allow them to throw you out of your comfort zone. Stand tall, stand proud. They continue because they are more than you and feel in control of that bravery in numbers, like the gay bashers hiding here behind the computer screen. You love the job, do it well and give them no other excuses so if and when you do have to go to the bosses claiming sexual harrasssment they can't hold anything else over on you. It's tough, I feel for you. Good luck.

in assessment to Christians, Jews might prefer everyone else shop their noses out of their faith. Minorities and gays have suffered plenty ripping (little doubt a number of it on the hands of excellent Christians) that it incredibly is extreme time minorities, alongside with the gay minority, are given a harm. in certainty, regulations had to be enacted to make sure that with the aid of. in assessment, maximum Christians are portion of a team that has had each and all the worldly entitlements, and power, thus far. i come across it comforting to be conscious that the call to hands by utilising Sam Harris is being heard. Mr. Harris opines that even reasonable Christians reason extra harm to this worldwide than human beings think of. i won't be able to checklist the numerous harms, yet I do propose his e book, "the tip of religion" for a extremely sensible explanation of why everybody "ought" to tear on Christians. it's time to talk the certainty, the hour is unquestionably getting previous due. For too long Christians have insisted that they comprehend the "actuality" while in certainty it incredibly is absurd and conceited to even make considered one of those declare approximately issues unknown and unprovable.

I was a waiter and all the cooks made fun of me for the same thing. Instead of fighting it, I would play along, and we all became good co-workers because I did not let their comments phase me.

Instead when they called me names, I'd jab at them and say "You seem so interested, are you trying to get me in bed?" . . . ya know , just stuff like that.

People will make fun of you if you aren't agressive and confident in your sexuality. If you are confident and take it in stride, people tend to stop wanting to make fun of you because they realize it doesn't bother you, so why even do it?

Well, sometimes you just have to try and let things roll off your shoulders...if it does get really bad...I would contact a supervisor or manager, and explain the situation...the motto I live by is Live life to the fullest, and put your best foot forward everyday... Also, remember this quote by Dr. Suess... "Those who mind, dont matter...and those who matter don't mind!" I wish you the best of luck!

take it further and complain to the big boys. Work place harassment is a serious matter. Otherwise, confront the big mouths to their faces and I'm sure they'll bite their tongues next time not to mention get embarrassed :)

That is harassment, and you should go up to your boss and say something to him/her. Harassmant at work is usually grounds for immediate termination from employment, maybe your boss needs to send a message and fire the first person who tries to make fun of you.

Let them know you better... if you feel confident about yourself they'll probably end up appreciating you for who you are. Maybe you could try talking to them (if you think they are open-minded). Otherwise, just do your thing and ignore them.
