its like a drug and a game to people,,would evicting someone be mean?Taking their only car mean?How come oil companys and such arent giving millions of billions they make to people who have very little,,wouldnt that be nice?Why r laws passed to force people to live by money and not generousity?Money is connected to greed,,our goverment passes laws to help companys that they have stock in,look at haliburton,,oil wells and bush,,wars are caused from money and greed,,isnt killing an awful thing,,almost sinister,,and people and companys do this for profit,,not to help mankind.In the making of the Fox film Flicka,,with Tim Magraw,horses were killed by mistreatment,and over worked.They offered the cast and crew money settlements to not say a word of it..Thats kind of mean and evil.Dont u think?And remember,,its a family film,,to hide the truth so people can make money.People in loan companys know loop holes that can save people thousands of dollars in payments,,but they wont tell the people these things cause,intrest will be lost.And most these people loose their homes and belongings cause a company wants more money.Thats evil,,in some ways.

First of all, you need to get the story straight. It clearly states "The LOVE of money is the root of all evil, which is a far different interpretation than, "Money is the root of all evil." We all need money to survive. But when we place that above all else, then it is evil. Basically, it was speaking of Greed. God wants us all to be rich and enjoy a bountiful life. He does not want us to be monetarily deprived. Because by being wealthy, we are an example of his love and greatness to others. But when we value the money more than - what's the expression - there's a difference between earning a living and making a life? When we place the dollar above all else, we do not draw people closer to God, we alienate them from him, and so defeat the purpose of the wealth he has given us. With wealth comes a great moral responsibility to use it wisely. God will bless the wise use tenfold. Isn't that the tithe? Whether you're a millionaire or a poor farmer barely getting by, give a tenth of your wealth and he will bless the rest. Give a tenth to charity in my name if you are blessed enough to be a philanthropist. Leave a tenth of your field unharvested for my creatures if you're but a struggling farmer, and I will bless the remainder for your family, so that you too may enjoy a fruitful life.

Greed is the root of all evil. Power and money are two of its most powerful minions.

Money is a physical item that can substitute for, or, acquire about anything on this earth. Therefore if you are arguing the tangible rather that the intangible money is that which allows the existence of the two intangibles, Greed and Power. It is the very soil and fertilizer that an intangible root needs to grow.

{That's what we called a double switch. The first statement seems to negate your theme. The paragraph uses the first sentence to take the debate up to a higher level.}

Can't help you because i don't think money is the root of all evil. Men are the root of evil. Examples, a man will take an others wife, money had nothing to do with it. A man will kill in anger money had nothing to do with it. People trample each other in an emergency, money had nothing to do with it. And so on and so on.

As was said before, the love of money is the root of all evil. True infatuation with money is when your desire to accumulate anything overpowers any desire to help others or behave morally.

In general, you can expect people to behave in their own best interest, and our empathy balences out our actions for the good of the whole society, but when that balence is tipped towards greed, than evil is present.

The line is (and usually is) misquoted. The proper line is "For the love of money is the root of all evil..."

Currency is not in and of itself evil, the greed the it inspires is—greed of course being listed amongst the Seven Deadly Sins (Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, and Pride).

Anything which causes one person to harm another in some way is bad, but human nature being what it is, most of us can just slog along as best we can and hope for a happy ending.

Bull puckey. There is nothing inherently evil about money. It is the person who has it that is evil. Money may make the person more capable of carrying out evil acts, but it is NOT the cause.

Meh. Money is just a convenient means of energy exchange. The love of money, now that can lead to an imbalance in the energy flow. Someone loves their own money so much they don't want to let it go when the time comes, it leads to illness in themselves and their families. and then they get to wanting not just their own money, they want everyone else's too - so the illness spreads beyond the one family, and into the whole community.

it is in human nature to desire and strive to posess as much as possible. its encoded in our natural instincts.

any form of currency in all actuallity has absolutely no true value. but, the idea of currecy is to put a common national form of all objects and services and measure the value of them all.

so, naturally the desire to posess, would also entail the desire for currency.

to say money is not the root of all evil, but the love of money is the true root of all evil would be an incorrect statement. for if the idea of currency was not in existance the desire for it would not exist just as well.

in all reality human nature would be the true root of all evil. its flaws, including desire, is what drives humankind to commit 'evil' deeds.
