Well you do not seem to be too tall.. so please do not wear horizontal striped clothed.. you can wear hip long kurtis on light blue jeans with a slightly heeled sandals.. wear your hair piled up on your scalp or let them loose.. wear long earrings .. this will add height.. besides you can wear shalwar kameez not bulky one but slim looking one.. churidar will do..
Wear light colored tops till the hips with low neckline on jeans or straight skirts for once and see the difference..
But remember never wear large prints fabrics or horizontal striped one.. you can wear vertical striped pants or long dress to add height.. Best of luck dear!!

Sorry girl...I need more info than that to really help you...you should start watching What Not to Wear. They will probably have someone on there about your size, and they give really good advice....Oh and 5'3" isn't that tall so you should wear straight pants...they make you look taller...look at them before you buy...make sure that they are straight and do not curve in at the knees...wear heels...if you can't figure it out before you go shopping, then ask someone who works at the store for help...thats their job! bootleg jeans with fat chunky belts and a cute cardigan. I know u dont like skirts but a short skirt with foofless tights (black, coloured or lacey ones looks fab) with either heels, Ugg boots (the flat chunky swade ones that come high up you claves - I know I cant spell swade so spelt it how it sounds!)

You can go for short kurti type tops and team them with denims.Go for floral or block prints as it will show off your height well.

u could positioned on hypster form of monkeywash denim pants and wid tht a mild textile fancy yet little lose tops n open hair wid mild long hearrings will look good...................................t... n think of on it.....................
