I have dsl with modem, however i normally keep it wireless on my labtop. But i need to go non-wireless for about 6 hours a day. I don't want to have to move my router setup to another room in which i will have to do. So is high speed internet the same as dsl?

NO, NOT REALLY DSL, is basically a high-speed telephone line supplying telephony, television, and Internet access. while high speed internet dosen;t at times require all those cables and lines

all companies differ on this! depending on who you go to or choose it could mean t1 lan , dsl, or cable modem!
