I have not seen the show yet and I dont live in the uk i live in the US and it just came out on dvd and I was wondering is it worth buying or not?

I started watching it on BBC America and got hooked on it. Its pretty good, if you like and or understand the concept of the Watchers from the Bible. I wouldn't buy it, check out the library and see if you can rent it. BBC America just had an marathon I think last Saturday? It was the complete 1st season. They do that from time to time, so you may just want to check your local listings for repeats.

I just started watching it 2 wks ago during a BBC America marathon. Then this past weekend they showed the rest. I have really enjoyed it. The new episodes started last weekend I believe. It isn't like Charmed to me. I have never seen Buffy or Angel. I would watch the series in order to figure out certain things going on. Basically a satanic mesiah has been born and when he matures can bring destruction to the world. There is an "anoited one" who will try to destroy him. I like the whole series so far. It is a little far fetched and there is a lesbian ghost that offers a little comic relief here and there, but otherwise I like it.

Think Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Charmed, etc. but without American editing.
Whether or not you'll like it is still a matter of personal opinion and that only you can decide.
