do most of you guys have ur softner connected to ur water softner, so when u flush teh toilet, it flushes softwater, when you water the grass, ure using soft water,, when ure washing ur car, its softwater? also, when you wash ur car with soft water, are there water spots?

A typical softener setup is exterior faucets are hard water and the rest of the house is soft. You never want to water your yard with soft water. If your house is on a basement you have some flexibility in what you make soft i.e. hard water to your bathroom sinks for drinking. As far as washing your car is concerned, if your using soft water you will not have the same problem you have with hard water spots. I hope this helps

Your wasting your use of the softener. Have it connected around these items. The outside bibs, the toilet etc. most or at least some people have this done.
