You should also check out Jeff Buckley (Tim's son), he covered a few of Bob Dylan's songs (I Shall Be Released, If You See Her Say Hello, Just Like A Woman, etc) and did an awesome job of making them his own (I admit I like them better than Bob's). He even covered Tim's 'Once I Was.'

now if we're talking about favorites, I'd include, to some extent, Elliott Smith and Regina Spektor, especially her older work which was far more folk than her current crap.
