Most people have a tendency to do a lack of maintinence on their vechicles. there are a wide variety of problems that can be caused by a clogged or partially clogged fuel filter. and its a good idea to follow what my instructors said for a strategy based diagnosis, K.I.S.S (keep it simple stupid). thus making it a good place to start sometimes, especially with the crap that they pass off for fuel these days.
remember you can never do too much maintinence on you vehicle.
as a diag tech I figured you'd know this.

I agree with FLYC3. The fuel filter is a good and cheap place for many DIYers to start. This helps to eliminate a simple problem.
I can recall the older brother of a friend in high school having starting problems with his Chevy. It would turn over and not catch. He changed parts until he went broke.
When he decided to remove the gas tank and flush out rust, he discovered he was just out of gas. And yes, we laughed long and hard at him!
This just illustrates the principle of not overlooking the obvious. A fuel filter is cheap and easy to change. And it can mimic more complicated problems so it is a good place for many to start. A gas I used often caused me to replace two fuel filters in 6 months. I figured it was the filter but less experienced DIYers may have missed it. Started buying fuel elsewhere and went 2 years before selling vehicle.

I agree with you. However you have to admit that the filter rarely gets changed unless there is a problem. Good luck

you could additionally desire to investigate the gas pump relay for that one or the stress regulator on it,i had a type of a couple of years in the past, and it performed that when, all that used to be incorrect with it used to be the pump relay, its valued at trying out,its hooked up at the firewall in that one, well good fortune on it.
