I'm not aware of any states where it is illegal to be gay. However, in some states certain sex acts are illegal. Sodomy, oral sex or sex acts that are not performed between one man and one woman. It's just narrow minded bigots, masking themselves as the moral majority.
Also, even in those states, comparing them to Iran isn't fair. Under the strict muslim law in Iran, someone found to be homosexual is first re-educated. If that fails and they are caught again, they are executed.

I'd go with Skip..whatever number came after it.. on this one.. I know, for example, that in Michigan it is illegal to perform oral.. Two men, two women, man/woman.. doesn't matter.. It's not likely to become an issue, BUT, having it on the books means that they COULD use it at some point. Specific acts are illegal in certain states.. and some of these archaic laws have been used.. but most of the time they overturn it in court anyway.

IDK approximately that yet i be attentive to that interior the U.S. our rights are very limited. we will not marry, be interior the army, donate organs, undertake, many states have no extra risk-free practices for us than every physique else has, ECT.. it is all consistent with homophobia. Like with donating organs. reason? because of the fact we've a bigger possibility of having an STD. maximum persons don't have a STD so whats the excuse there? With adoption whats the reason? little ones want a the two a mom and pa. So all those gay mothers and fathers that have large, undisturbed little ones have been mendacity approximately being the comparable gender huh? Did you pay attention proper to the guy that had to eliminate gay pupil risk-free practices in Iowa? His reason? It promotes gay interest. whilst did that exchange into unlawful? Plus isn't a toddler's risk-free practices extra considerable than that? Its all basically homophobia.

I think most of those laws are very old, and simply haven't been removed. Anyway, they don't actually restrict BEING gay, just participating in a certain type of sexual act. So, as long as you're not doing it in the street, you're probably pretty safe.
A lot of those same places have laws against baking a cherry pie on Tuesdays or riding a unicycle while wearing a skirt. I mean, it's not like laws are really enforced when their out of common use.

No...that is simply scare tactics from pro-gay groups that argue that gay peoples inability to receive marriage license in the majority of US states is in a sense making it illegal for them to be gay. Its a stupid argument that simply isn't true.
