By Law the supplier should have provided them for you and they are required to acompany the bill of lading that the carrier has. If not contact the manufacture of the chemical and have them fax it.

The law will be country dependant. Some countries will have no law, others have very bureaucratic laws and a lot are in between.

Not every company will be able to give you an MSDS. Some countries only require that MSDS's are supplied for dangerous/hazardous materials.

Suggest that you fax email the company for an MSDS. If they have one they have to supply it. If they don't and claim it is non hazardous then they will have make this admission in their correspondence back to you.

Getting one off the net. This is fine as long as you know the chemical and it is specific like propylene or ethylene glycol. I suspect that you are not using one of these and probably be using a polyethylene glycol or similar. If this is the case you will almost definitely have to get the MSDS from the supplier as all polyethylene glycol's will differ.

Good Luck.

Hope this helps

There are a number of glycols, so you will need to be specific to go further. For example, ethylene glycol is used as antifreeze in cars.

Once you are sure of your compound, put it into Google and an MSDS is likely to be one of the hits. Certainly the suppliers of the compund will have an MSDS you can download
