wow that is a tough deal to make. Peavy is having a phenomenal year while santana is always going to be great stats wise. I think Tejada has the upper hand on Gonzalez. Im not sure if Gonzalez can keep the offensive stats up. Im not sure if it would help you all that much yet. Peavy is just having a really great year and it would be hard to let him go. If it was me I dont think i could do it.

Santana is a second half pitcher, and will get better, maybe Peavy holds, but he won't get much better
Tejada vs Gonzalez is a mismatch. No idea where Gonzalez got the power, but this guy hit .250 last year, few HR, little RBI - batting 9th. Gonzalez isn't up and coming, he has been around for a while
He bats down the order, he doesn't hit for average, how many Runs do you think he scores since he isn't getting on base? In the NL?
He hit .229 in May. Tejada will be better than Gonzalez in EVERY category at years end.
This is such an obvious trade to do, i am amazed you needed to ask.

I wouldn't do it. Surprisingly, Peavy may come close to matching Santana this year, and to this point he's indeed been considerably stronger.
Gonzalez is an up-and-coming slugger with a great swing, while Tejada seems to have lost his power stroke. At the end of the year, the only hitting category I'd expect Tejada to compare with Gonzalez in might be RBI's.
I wouldn't do it.

This offer is a primer on how to propose a trade: sell high and buy low. Fantastic offer.
The trick is convincing the other guy that Alex Gonzalez will outdo Miggy the rest of the season. Good luck with that, but good job crafting the trade.
