Part of an interview, with Steve Juliano (I am Ghost-frontman) ,and I havent a clue what a spinal tap move is...like in a horror movie, maybe?

6. What's your most embarrassing onstage moment?

Steve: Well, I really haven't had any bad on stage moments, but there was a show in London where I pulled a Spinal Tap move. The venue was huge and about 5 stories tall, and our dressing room was at the very very top. About five minutes before we were set to hit the stage, I got lost backstage, and ended up in a shower room. I started to freak out, and all I could think of was, "Oh ****, I'm gonna pull a Spinal Tap move, god damn it, where is the ******* stage!" It came to me randomly asking some cleaning dude where the stage was, just like in the ******* movie, and he pointed to a locked door. It clearly was not my night, but, yes, the story ends ok. I found the stage with about thirty seconds to spare.

'This Is Spinal Tap' was one of the first spoof documentaries and features a band called Spinal Tap on their American Tour after they release a new album. Lots of hilarity ensues (but if you've ever been in a band, you'll know just how accurate they were!). The 'I'm gonna pull a Spinal Tap' you're talking about refers to when they have a gig in a large audatorium but after leaving their dressing rooms, all hyped up and shouting 'ROCK AND ROLL' they can't find the stage and become completly lost. Still true to the power of rock, they just wander around for ages shouting 'ROCK AND ROLL'. It's very funny, you shoul watch it!

In the movie "This is Spinal Tap" which was a satire on hard rock bands, there is a moment when the band is going on stage and they get lost, they can't find the stage. All the time they're yelling "Rock N Roll" and getting hyped up to play, but they can't find the freakin stage! A janitor finally tells them where the stage is.

The simple answer is - anything that could go wrong, does. You have to see the movie to really understand it. It's classic called This Is Spinal Tap - it's a spoof of a rock band, and wacky crap happens to them like getting lost getting to the stage... It's a must for any rock fan to see!

Spinal Tap is a movie that parodies the Rock N Roll Band "Spinal Tap" and their world tour. It stars "Lenny" from Laverne & Shirley, and "Meathead" from All in the Family...and Twiggy, the heroin sheek model of the 70's. They get lost back stage alot.
