im going to 6 flags great am. and i need to either wear flip flops or sneakers. water rides & 7 hrs. of walking adn rollercoastering!!

Sneakers probably, one time I wore sandals to an amusement and I lost my sandals =(

If you're going to Six Flags or Great America, you're probably going on the rides.. which means you will be one, walking, and two, suspended in the air (and sometimes with your feet hanging).
For this reason, go with comfortable sneakers.. flip-flops tend to get uncomfortable after a while and you will end up having to take them off for rides. If possible, bring an extra pair of socks or flip-flops for the water rides and put them in a bag.

Flip Flops: let your feet breathe....but get on a roller coaster and you'll be barefoot before you know it! Flip flops are thin too so with so much walking your going to be in a lot of shape.
Sneakers: Comfy....They won't fly off...a little more cushion than flip flops....as for the water rides.....good luck with that......either way your going to get wet! Have fun!

sneakers, unless you really want to lose the flip flops. I actually find water type sandals like Tevas to be the best of both worlds. they can get wet, don't make your feet soggy and stay on your feet.
also, do not wear anything denim. wet denim, walking around for hours just plain sucks. it never dries out. bring a change of clothes and maybe flipflops for ride home.

I would bring both!wear gym shoes and carry your flip flops in a bag!Because it can get pretty hot in gym shoes!or wear clogs they can be strapped or unstrapped!And they have holes in them so you can get hair! You can strap them up when on rides and then unstrap them for water rides!

wear some vans because they are light and to me they are like shoes and than they not cause u have to slide ur feet in but i wouldnt wear sneakers if u trying to get really wet than wear slides

it matters where and when i wood say if it was a reelly hot day then were sandals but if are going to an amusment park its best to wear sneakers

I would have to go with gym shoes.They are comfortable,and they'll protect your feet on all the amusement rides.Have fun!
