Considering that women work the same EIGHT HOURS job like they do, why do they expect women to come home to another JOB of cooking??

"it's women's work."

(Yes, that is a hopelessly sexist attitude, but some guys just don;t get it.)

I'm a theist, and have always been very curious about a wide variety of religious beliefs and philosophies. I don't think that curiosity is limited solely to believers. It could be that many atheists also have genuine questions about certain religious beliefs and practices. Since this is a forum on religion and spirituality, this is a good place to seek answers to such questions, not from some cold encyclopedia, but from actual practitioners of those religions. Also, many of the atheists I know have spent time studying religion, to the point that they've read the Bible, Koran, and many other religious texts, and can debate them quite skillfully. Another subset of atheists might be here to promote atheism, which is their right. I think there are as many reasons for being here, whether one is a theist or atheist, as there are participants in this forum.

Because their moms cooked for their dads and their grandmothers cooked for their grandfathers, and I bet even there mothers cooked for them. So it is just the way it is. Frankly it works too, becasue most women don't do yard work when they get home or fix things around the house, or take the garbage out. If you do, do that then you need to tell him to get off of his *** and help out. In my family, my mother cooks the weekdays and my dad cooks on the weekends.

Girl, I agree with you, sometimes I don't even know what to cook anymore. I ask my husband what he wants, he says he doesn't know, so I make whatever, then he says, "again." Women work non-stop, Eight hrs, comehome cook, clean the house, go to school, do homework, wash dishes....All this starts to get pretty annoying sooner or later. It feels like we never rest and soon it feels like we're zombies, the same routine everyday.

well, if he also mows the lawn, takes out the garbage, fixes things around the house, the car etc, helps clean the house and sometimes also cooks ... (ever had breakfast in bed on sat or sunday morning from him?)
and does he help clean up afterward? the dishes? clearing the table?
around here we have "fend for" night... each person will eat what they can dig up.. We try to keep easy to fix items in the freezer or fridge to make this easy for all.
but, back to the question, "whats for dinner?"... well, what is for dinner??? heck most men can't cook..

they expect women to do the house chores everytime! so expecting the woman to cook or prepare something for dinner, whether its housemade or its delivery! its a routine which is stucked on their mind, might not be their fault.. but its us women who can change that kind of habit.

Why don't more women reply "whatever you feel like cooking"?

If someone has an issue with being expected to do things they feel are unfair, then they need to communicate with their partner about it.
