My favorite movie of all time is The Notebook, and I've watched it a million and a half times, my question is could you guys recommend a movie that's kind of like that--a romantic tear jerker? I love old movies with audrey hepburn and cary grant and that kind of stuff too.

How about LOVE STORY. One of the first romantic tearjerkers ever made.Starring Ryan O'Neal and Ali MacGraw .Made in 1970. quote : " Love means never having to say you're sorry"

WEST SIDE STORY .Although a popular musical made in 1961.It is an update of Romeo and Juliet which has a very tragic ending .

I love Cary Grant. If you haven't seen them, you should check out Bringing Up Baby, His Girl Friday, and The Philadelphia Story.
As for Audrey Hepburn, Roman Holiday and My Fair Lady are excellent choices. I wasn't a huge fan of Breakfast at Tiffany's, but it's a classic.
Movies like The Notebook pretty much escape me at the moment, other than A Walk to remember, but Love Actually is a great suggestion, as are Casablanca, Romeo and Juliet, Ever After, It Happened One Night, Cinema Paradiso, Finding Neverland, The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938), Some Like it Hot, and It's a Wonderful Life.

With a standard Wal-Mart style camcorder it's impossible. What makes that Hollywood look is the frame rate. Most standard home camcorders record at some where around 15-24 Frames per second. In a big Hollywood film the camera's run at 32 FPS. Your best bet for a 32 FPS camera is a Cannon XL1. I recently purchased on eBay for around 1,500. Also if you are using a digital camera you should transfer the movie using a firewire rather than a drag & drop method.

The Phantom of the Opera is sure to bring tears to every eye! It is the sweetest movie ever and I cry EVERY time I watch it!!

A Walk to Remember is also a VERY sad, cute, romantic movie.

Love Comes Softly - I BAWLED on this movie!! I lent it to other people & they all had to go & buy the movie cuz they loved it so much!!!! It is SO CUTE, and you will CRY!!!! I PROMISE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sleepless in Seattle was pretty cute too.

Breakfast at Tiffanys has Audrey Hepburn, but it's not really a tear jerker.
My fair lady has her as well.... and Funny Face....

Hope this helps

My favorite movie is Music and Lyrics. It's a romantic comedy I think and it's not so much like The Notebook (which is a really good movie by the way) but it is still really good. Also Because I Said So is a very good movie too I definetely recommend them both to you and everyone else out there too.

Lets see... You've proubly already seen Breakfast at Tiffanys and Annie Hall. If your interested in "chick flick" type movies I would suggest, Sleepless in Seattle, Jerry Maguire, Beaches, A Walk to Remember, ect. ect. And Titanic is a really good tearjerker also.
